My post on K-12 education does not cover these specialized methods. It is not appropriate for a teacher to commit to one particular method. Today they also include electronic forms of information access. However, what I have seen so far is not encouraging. Enrichment provides exercises for advanced students seeking challenge beyond exercises in the student books. What questions can I ask students that will encourage them to think more deeply about the mathematics that I want them to understand?

Pettit, Stacie Kae – Issues in the Undergraduate Mathematics Preparation of School Teachers, 2011 The purpose of this study was to explore the factors influencing the beliefs middle school mathematics teachers have about English Language Learners (ELLs) in mainstream classrooms.
